Workshops & Courses

The courses listed below offer a variety of glass making techniques for all levels of abilities. They are practical as well as creative and informative and are aimed at giving beginners an introduction to glass as well as those with experience an opportunity to broaden their skills. Spaces are limited to six people per class. Please contact me to make an enquiry or make a booking.

Lead Workshop weekend (London)
26-25 November 2011
A traditional method of assembling glass into a lead-light or stained glass window. Help will be given on how to develop a design, using your own ideas or those offered, and how to adapt this into a working pattern (cartoon)and how to cut and lead this into a small completed panel. £175.00 Saturday & Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm

A compelling technique of layering pieces of glass and melting them in a kiln. The course covers technical and creative issues such as glass compatibility and the inclusion of other materials, such as metals and enamels. £175.00 Saturday & Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm
Introduction to Painting on Glass (London)
3 March 2012
This one day introductory course for beginners will cover mixing paints, painting techniques and kiln firing. Using traditional techniques you will practise how to add texture, patterns and figures to glass. Your work will be fired in the kiln for permanency and ready for you to take home at the end of the day.
£110 including materials. Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm.
Copper Foil weekend (London)
10-11 March 2012
Learn how to cut glass, copper foil and solder a small project. Copper Foil is a versatile method of assembling glass for designs with intricate shapes, three-dimensional work, sculptures, wall-hangings and window panels. Perfect for total beginners and also those who would like to improve their glass cutting and soldering skills. £175.00
Stained Glass Summer Course (London)
6-10 August 2012
The course content will be flexible and aimed at the individual requirements of each participant. You may work in the copper foil or leaded technique or develop your skills in painting or fusing. Suitable for beginners and those with previous experience. £320.00 Monday - Friday incl. 10.00am - 5.00pm
